Radiant Zemax generates illumination distribution data in multiple standard formats for large light sources and luminaires, such as architectural lights and automotive headlamps.
Radiant Zemax has systems that perform brightness and color uniformity measurements as function of angle for large light sources, generating a near field luminance distribution model. This near field model - in Radiant Source Model® format - can be used to analyze the light source directly or can be converted to a far field distribution and used to extrapolate the illumination distribution of any source at any arbitrary distance.
How It Works
Send us a luminaire/large light source and a RSM Measurement form and we will return to you an RSM file and the associated ProSource® Software. With ProSource you can generate your own IES and EULUMDAT files as well as ray sets for 3rd party optical design software. ProSource also produces qualitative display images from any angle, as well as an extensive variety of quantitative plots such as isoplots, CIE color analysis and radar plots as a function of view angle.
