Paul Caragher

President and Chief Executive Officer

Paul CaragherMr. Caragher was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Radiant Zemax, LLC in April 2011. He has significant test and measurement leadership experience through a variety of roles within Danaher Corporation. Prior to joining Radiant Zemax, LLC, Mr. Caragher, as President of Tektronix Service Solutions, played a leadership role in developing a service strategy across Danaher's Test and Measurement business and led the acquisitions of Davis Calibration and Sypris Test and Measurement.

Mr. Carager also served as President of Fluke Networks. Fluke Networks delivers state-of-the-art Network SuperVision™ Solutions that support the installation, analysis and monitoring of enterprise and telecommunications networks and the installation and certification of the fiber and copper forming the foundation for those networks. Fluke Networks' products are distributed in more than 120 countries and used by 96 of the Fortune 100 companies. Before joining Fluke Networks, Mr. Caragher held several leadership roles within Hach-Lange, part of Danaher's environmental platform of companies in the water quality analysis and treatment business. Mr. Caragher built the strategy for Hach-Lange to enter the industrial market.

Mr. Caragher's professional experience also includes working for General Motors Corporation's Latin America, Africa, and Middle East Operations and Coopers and Lybrand LLP. He was awarded the General Motors Fellowship to attend Harvard Business School and earned his MBA with High Distinction in 2002. He also holds a B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University.


Ron Rykowski

Chief Technology Officer, Measurement Products

Ron Rykowski As Chief Technology Officer, Measurement Products at Radiant Zemax, LLC, Mr. Rykowski is responsible for sustaining engineering and product development for all of the company's Radiant Imaging brand of measurement products, including imaging colorimeters, Imaging Spheres, application software, and the Vision product line.

Mr. Rykowski bring over 30 years of experience in software development, photometry and colorimetry, and illumination optical design. Prior to joining Radiant Zemax at its formation in 2011, Mr. Rykowski co-founded Radiant Imaging, Inc. and acted as President and Chief Technology Officer from 1992 to 2010. He was responsible for the initial development of Radiant's core products including imaging colorimeters and photometers and Radiant Sources (near-field source models with ray generation capability). Mr. Rykowski has also designed a wide variety of illumination systems for applications in cinema projection, micro lithography, theatrical lighting, fiber optics, machine vision, microscope illumination, and LCD projection.

Prior to founding Radiant Imaging, Inc., Mr. Rykowski worked for MAI Systems (1980-1992), a mid-sized ($400M) minicomputer manufacturer based in Irvine, California. At MAI, he managed the development of client-server based accounting and manufacturing systems targeted for Fortune 1000 corporations, and held the additional position of Vice President, Information Systems, where he was responsible for the corporation's internal systems. From 1976-1980, Mr. Rykowski worked for Dyn-Optics, Inc., which specialized in thin film coatings.

Mr. Rykowski received a B.S. in Physics and Chemistry with a Computer Science minor from the University of California, Irvine in 1980.


Kenneth E. Moore

Chief Technology Officer, Optical Engineering Products

Kenneth E. Moore As Chief Technology Officer, Optical Engineering Products at Radiant Zemax, LLC, Dr. Moore is responsible for the engineering and technological product development of the company's industry-standard ZemaxOptical Design Program, as well as optical engineering tools for source modeling, ray tracing, material modeling, scattering, lens design, imaging, and illumination.

Dr. Moore has over 25 years of experience in optical modeling, design, and software development. Dr. Moore was the founder of ZEMAX Development Corporation, and served as company President and CEO from 1991 to 2011. Dr. Moore was the original author and primary developer of the Zemax Optical Design Program for more than 20 years. Prior to founding ZEMAX Development Corporation, Dr. Moore worked as an Optical Scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and prior to that at General Dynamics Corporation.

Dr. Moore received a B.S. in Physics from California State University at Los Angeles in 1984 and a Ph.D. in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona in 1991. Dr. Moore was awarded the SPIE Technology Achievement Award in 2001, the OSA David Richardson Medal in 2010, and is a Fellow of the Optical Society of America.


Douglas Kreysar

Chief Operating Officer

Douglas Kreysar As Chief Operating Officer at Radiant Zemax, LLC., Mr. Kreysar manages Corporate Operations including production, engineering, product development, finance and accounting, legal, quality and human resources. Mr. Kreysar has utilized his engineering, optics, physics, mathematics, and management background in order to successfully implement new optical technology into production manufacturing systems, reduce design and manufacturing lead times, and improve overall product quality.

Prior to joining Radiant Imaging, Doug worked as the head of the optical design group at North American Lighting, Inc. (NAL), a major automotive exterior lighting supplier. Mr. Kreysar executed and oversaw the execution of optical designs for vehicle lighting for the US, European, Japanese, and Australian markets. Mr. Kreysar worked with incandescent, tungsten halogen, high intensity discharge (HID), light emitting diode (LED), neon, and fiber optic light source systems. At NAL, Mr. Kreysar was responsible for the creation of design and manufacturing standards that ensured that NAL's products were able to support the demands of increased performance at lower cost and reduced development time.

Mr. Kreysar's graduate and undergraduate work centered on optics, spectroscopy, and laser physics. He constructed three different types of lasers, grew crystals for laser spectroscopy, and studied the fluorescence spectrum of vapors, crystals, and rare-earth doped optical fibers.

Mr. Kreysar received a B.S. in Physics from Vanderbilt University in 1991, and an M.S. in Applied Physics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1993. Doug is the author or co-author of multiple technical papers and in 1999 received an Excellence in Oral Presentation Award from the Society of Automotive Engineers. He has been awarded three US patents.


Mark Nicholson

Vice President, Zemax Group

Mark NicholsonMark Nicholson is Vice President of the Zemax Group within Radiant Zemax and is also responsible for the Measurement Services and Technical Support teams. Prior to joining Radiant Zemax at its formation in 2011, Mark was Vice President, Operations of Zemax Development Corporation. Mark brings 30 years of experience in the optics industry, and almost 20 years of Zemax experience, to the company. Mark is responsible for technical support, training and sales and marketing for the Zemax and Measurement Services product lines, and is the author of many Knowledge Base articles on optical design using Zemax.

Prior to joining the company, Mark was Technical Director at Optima Research, and has held several consulting and technical management roles. Mark earned a Ph.D. in Plasma Spectroscopy from Imperial College, University of London in 1983 and a Bachelor's degree on Physics also from Imperial College in 1979.


Hubert Kostal

Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Hubert KostalDr. Kostal brings over 26years of international experience in high technology engineering, marketing and sales to his position at Radiant Zemax. His management responsibilities span direct sales, sales channels, technical sales support, product management, and product and corporate marketing.

Dr. Kostal has held executive sales and marketing positions at both start-up and established companies addressing industrial, consumer electronics, communications, and defense markets. Dr. Kostal previously worked at APIC (Advanced Photonic Integrated Circuits) Corp., as VP of Business Development; NanoOpto Corp., which developed and manufactured nanotechnology enabled optical components, as VP of Sales and Marketing; SpectraSwitch Corp., which applied liquid crystal technologies to optical switching, as VP of Marketing; TranSwitch Corp., a communications semiconductor developer, as VP of Marketing; and at Lucent Technologies/AT&T/AT&T Bell Laboratories in various executive and management roles. In those positions, Dr. Kostal has defined innovative product and marketing strategies, and successfully grown market presence and sales volumes.

Dr. Kostal received a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1979, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin in 1985. He has published numerous papers in technical and trade publications; he has been awarded two patents.


Neil Barrett

Managing Director, Radiant Zemax Europe

Neil BarrettAs Managing Director in Europe, Neil Barrett is responsible for sales, marketing, human resources, and corporate governance. Mr Barrett also leads the European Zemax technical support team and has delivered Zemax courses to hundreds of customers throughout the UK and Europe.

Prior to joining Radiant Zemax, Mr. Barrett was general manager and later managing director of Optima Research Ltd where he led the Zemax distribution channel in Europe beginning in 2006, overseeing several initiatives to improve sales and marketing. Mr. Barrett has also held research positions at Sharp Laboratories Europe (Oxford) and Philips Research Laboratories (Redhill). At Sharp he was a member of the Optical Imaging Technology group and worked on directional backlighting solutions for displays for which he holds a patent. At Philips he was a member of the Thin Film Electronics group conducting analysis of thin film transistors used in Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display applications.

Mr. Barrett received a BSc in Physics from Loughborough University in 2002 and an MSc in Optics and Photonics with DIC in Physics from Imperial College London in 2003. His graduate and undergraduate work involved optical design, illumination design, light source measurement, laser material processing and optical testing. He has been awarded one patent.


Stone Jiang

General Manager, Radiant Zemax China

Stone JiangMr. Jiang was named General Manager of Radiant Zemax China in February 2012. He is responsible for the growth of Greater China business in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Mr. Jiang brings to Radiant Zemax over 16 years of China business development experience in high-tech applications, sales and marketing. Prior to joining Radiant Zemax, Mr. Jiang, as General Manager of Greater China at Orbis, played a leadership role in introducing the RF and machine vision solutions to the telecom industry in China. Mr. Jiang also served as China General Manager of Keithley Instrument Inc., to develop their China business in the electronics, semiconductor and telecom industries. His prior experience includes leadership, sales and service roles with Electroglas Inc and Schlumberger Automatic Test Equipment.

Mr. Jiang received a M.S. in Electrical & Electronics from Beijing University of Technology in 1994. He earned his E.M.B.A from Guanghua Business School of Beijing University in 2010.
